Instilled by my parents, I grew up with an appreciation and love of visual arts . I earned the outstanding Art Award for high performance in Art History and Creative Art at Kent School in CT.  I then studied  at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston where I would be introduced to the works of Monet, Manet, Zorn and Sargeant at the nearby Isabella Gardner Museum. I was also exposed to many amazing pieces of art at Parke-Bernet Galleries in NYC where I was employed prior to marriage

My personal journey began over 30 years ago in Jackson Hole, WY, where Fred Kingwill introduced me to watercolors. I honed my painting skills in interactive workshops with Sari Stags, Ted Nuttall, and Lian Zhen. I taught 4-H Art to Jackson Hole high schoolers for 10 years. I was inspired by local artists Kathryn Mapes Turner, Scott L. Christensen, Amy Ringholz and Billy Schenck. Since moving to Miami, I have taken up acrylics which suit my style and personality. Currently, my mentor is Professor Carlos Gallostra at Fairchild Garden.

My mind is constantly filled with ideas for new pieces which I am always excited to paint. I take commissions and work from digital images, painting in a  realist style with vibrant colors. I paint all subjects but have a particular affinity for portraits in museums and galleries, both as a viewer and as an artist.
